On March 18, 2021, in response to rising discrimination and hate crimes against Asian Americans, Fairfax County School Board Member Ms. Stella Pekarsky ((Vice-Chair, Sully District Representative)) proposed a resolution at the School Board meeting, which was voted unanimously by the Board to recommit support to AAPI students, families, and staff. Resolution of the Fairfax County School Board to Condemn Anti-Asian Racism and Commit to Action provides guidelines at high level for joint efforts in the FCPS community to fight against Asian discrimination and hate.
